A Showcase of the Finest Ukulele Music Talent from the Delaware River Valley and Beyond

Delaware Valley resident and jazz ukeist extraodinaire Patsy Monteleone hosts this inaugural edition of Caffè Uke. Taking a page from the popular New York City-based "Ukulele Cabaret" and the Boston-based "Ukulele Noir" showcases, every three months Patsy's Caffè Uke will spotlight talented ukulele musicians from the Delaware Valley - encompassing Philadelphia and its suburbs in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

With a cabaret/revue format, Caffè Uke introduces area solo and band performers and out-of-town guest acts who demonstrate the depth of what is sonically possible with this diminutive instrument.

On April 3rd Patsy is joined by local old-timey country swingers Charlie & Nancy, southern blues singer songwriter Norm Reim, luthier Paul Unkert as well as New York's leading jazz ukeist Khabu Young and crooner Jason Maniscalco.

Be prepared to hear the ukulele center stage in use for every sort of musical style imaginable, from traditional Hawaiian and Tin Pan Alley to Folk, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Country, Old Timey, original song writing, Classical, and everything in between!

Caffè Uke was originally developed by Patsy as part of the April 2008 Ukulele Caravan tour. The response has been tremendous, so now he has decided to make it an ongoing quarterly event. Contact Patsy at pm@patsymon.com for more information, or to book an act for the upcoming Caffè Uke calendar
